It has been three weeks since the season ended for the Detroit Pistons and still no one is sure what exactly is going to happen with Stan Van Gundy. Van Gundy is currently the coach and in charge of personnel and many are wondering if he will be stripped of the second title. Before the season ended, Pistons owner Tom Gores said that changes needed to be made.

“We got to make some changes,” Gores said via the Detroit Free Press. “I’m just not sure what they are and he’s been working the whole season so I need to hear from Stan. I can tell you he’s an extremely dedicated man so I think he’s been good for our franchise.

For Van Gundy and Gores, they did have a meeting once the season ended to discuss the direction that the franchise was heading but no one is quite sure what was exactly decided in that meeting.

One rumor that has been swirling around has been that Van Gundy has been “resistant to changes” but according to the Detroit Free Press sources that's a mischaracterization because they haven't specifically talked about any chances that will be happening yet.

In the past, Gores has always taken his time with big decisions like this one, and no one is really sure what it means that is taken this long.

Usually, this isn't a good sign for a coach. If he was staying usually the owner would give him some sort of confidence. Until there is an official decision the best anyone can do is wait.
