Tom Gores, the owner of the Detroit Pistons, believes that his team has to make some moves before the NBA trade deadline.

Per Rod Beard of The Detroit News, Gores added that the front office is always looking for ways on how to improve the team — be it thru trade transactions of free agent signings.

He noted that currently, they don't have anything concrete but given that they're not winning, something has to be done.

“The front office is working on that and we’re always looking to improve. We don’t have any plans; there’s nothing there right now for us. We’re not winning enough, so we have to do something.”

The Pistons currently sport a 21-28 record for ninth place in the Eastern Conference. They have won just three of their last 10 games.

While there's half-a-season remaining and the Pistons can still pile up the wins, they're not really seen as legitimate championship threats. This was not what many expected after the team hired the former coach of the year Dwane Casey — who was fired by the Toronto Raptors last season.

Besides him, the Pistons have a formidable duo in Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond.

But as evidenced by their win-loss record, more needs to be done to turn the Pistons squad into something more.

Fans should keep their eyes peeled as the NBA trade deadline approaches.
