Now on the 12th season of his injury-plagued career, Detroit Pistons point guard Derrick Rose proves he is still as clutch as ever.

The 31-year-old former league MVP hammered the nail in the coffin for the Pistons against the Phoenix Suns at the Talking Stick Resort Arena on Friday night.

With Detroit in possession of the ball and up by just two points with less than 20 ticks remaining in regulation, Rose took the matter into his own hands. The 31-year-old speedster sized up Suns defender Cameron Johnson and threw off his balance shot with a series of deceiving crossovers.

Rose got away from him with a gorgeous spin move before throwing up one of his patented floaters to finish the job. Suns wing Mikal Bridges came over to block Rose's shot, but it did not matter as the shot went in with 9.6 seconds to spare.

Detroit ran away with 113-11 victory, led by Rose's 31 points, three rebounds and four assists. This is the second time this season that Derrick Rose eclipsed 30 points.

The Pistons improved to 20-41 in the season and snapped an ugly seven-game skid. The Suns absorbed their second straight defeat and dropped to 24-35.
