Derrick Rose showed everyone that he still got the clutch gene as he propelled the Detroit Pistons to a 105-103 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.

Trying to break the deadlock with the scores tied at 103, Rose let the clock wind down up until the final seconds before making his move for the last shot. The former NBA MVP created some space from Jrue Holiday with his footwork before pulling off the turnaround fadeaway for the win.

While one could say that there isn't a ton of pressure on Rose given that the game will only be sent to overtime had he missed, it would be wrong to discredit his ability to take over. After all, many thought that his career is almost over after a series of knee injuries.

Rose finished the game with a team-high 21 points and seven assists. he also had three boards in an efficient shooting night for him (52.9).

Following the game-winner — and much like Nemanja Bjelica after hitting a game-winner for the Sacramento Kings on the same day — Rose had some words of triumph that is, well, NSFW.

Brandon Ingram and Holiday combined for 51 points in the game, but their efforts are not enough to edge the Pistons who are witnessing the renaissance of the youngest NBA MVP ever.
