Jerami Grant and the Detroit Pistons have gotten to an early lead over the Boston Celtics on Friday night, in large part due to Grant's contributions.

Midway through the second quarter, Grant showed off his athleticism with a massive poster dunk over Daniel Theis.

The play began with rookie Killian Hayes advancing the ball up the court for the Pistons. Hayes would dish the ball to Grant, who delivered a pump fake from the three-point line, giving him a clear lane to the basket.

However, as Grant was going up to dunk the ball, Theis decided to attempt a block on the Pistons forward. Seeing that Theis was late on his rotation, Grant was able to put Boston's undersized center on a poster early in the first half.

During the offseason, Grant chose to sign a massive contract with Detroit instead of re-signing with the Denver Nuggets. Last season, Grant compiled 12 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game for the Nuggets.

In his first four games with the Pistons, coming into Friday's contest, Grant is producing a career-best 22.8 points, six rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. Furthermore, in his past three games, Grant has notched 27.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.

Before facing the Celtics, the Pistons have lost their first four games of the season, joining the Washington Wizards as the only teams in the NBA that haven't won a game yet. If Grant can continue his offensive success for the rest of Friday's game, Detroit could finally get into the win column.
