The Detroit Pistons came away with a rather ugly 98-94 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night, with the score looking like the game was played in 2009 rather than 2019. The Pistons scored just 19 points in the fourth quarter and 31 points in the second half overall after taking a 57-47 lead into halftime, and Detroit big man Blake Griffin was not happy with the way his team played down the stretch.

As Griffin was letting a reporter now he felt about the Pistons' poor play, Reggie Jackson picked a pretty bad time to video bomb him.

Griffin and Jackson were the only two Pistons players who did much of anything of note on the evening, as Griffin poured in 37 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists while Jackson finished with 17 points, five rebounds, and three assists.

Detroit was still without Andre Drummond, who has now missed three straight games due to a concussion. Meanwhile, the Pelicans were without Anthony Davis, who is out with a hand injury. With the win, the Pistons improved to 21-26 on the year.

Detroit actually got off to an impressive start this season, beginning the year 13-7. However, since then, the Pistons have gone 8-19. That includes a six-game losing streak from Dec. 3 through Dec. 12.

The Pistons' struggles are definitely no fault of Griffin's, as the power forward is averaging 26.3 points, 8.1 rebounds and 5.3 assists over 36.2 minutes per game while shooting 48.1 percent from the floor, 36.6 percent from three-point range and 76.1 percent from the free-throw line in what has been one of the best seasons of his career.
