The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to take on the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday in a heated AFC matchup. Whoever wins remains undefeated, which is crucial for both franchises. This Steelers-Raiders game should be one of the best on Sunday. It's time to continue our NFL predictions Series with a Steelers Week 2 prediction.

It's no question that Pittsburgh's defense is one of the best in the NFL. They wreaked havoc on a talented Buffalo Bills team and will likely do the same to the Raiders. Look for the Steelers to potentially shut out Las Vegas.

The run game was an issue last year and the coaching staff hopes to improve in that area in the 2021 season. Najee Harris could be in for a big game, as the Raiders struggled to slow down the Baltimore Ravens in the season opener. Additionally, Chase Claypool has drawn a nice matchup and could be in for a massive game. Lastly, Pittsburgh needs Ben Roethlisberger to perform at his best, which is attainable against Las Vegas. With that said here are four bold Steelers Week 2 predictions against the Raiders.

Steelers Week 2 Predictions

4. Steelers defense completely shuts down the Raiders

Josh Jacobs has already been ruled out for Sunday's matchup, which gives the Steelers an even bigger edge come game day. Vegas is likely to throw the ball often, as Pittsburgh's front seven will likely stifle the run. Don't expect the Raiders offense to score a ton of points in Week 2, as the Steelers defense has a great chance to shut them out.

3. Najee Harris proves why he was a first-round selection

He had a rough rookie debut, but it was a bit expected considering he faced a tough Bills front seven and the Steelers' offensive line is a bit questionable. The Raiders' defense isn't the best, as they let Ty'Son Williams, Latavius Murray, and Lamar Jackson rush for 189 yards. The Steelers hope to control the clock in this one, so we should see Najee Harris live up to the hype on Sunday.

2. Chase Claypool erupts for 150+ yards and 2 touchdowns

Chase Claypool was held in check in Week 1, as he recorded just three receptions for 45 yards. He's a threat to score on any given play, as Claypool is a big-bodied receiver who serves as a deep threat. His teammates Juju Smith-Schuster and Diontae Johnson should draw most of the attention away. This gives Chase Claypool the opportunity to take over the game.

1. Ben Roethlisberger bounces back in a big way

His age seemed to be showing a bit against the Buffalo Bills, but it might have been early-season rust. Either way, the Steelers are taking on a lesser defense in Week 2, which gives Ben Roethlisberger a chance to bounce back. If Pittsburgh hopes to make another playoff appearance, they'll need Big Ben to step up and play at his best. Considering he has a fantastic trio of receivers at his disposal, Ben Roethlisberger should be able to connect early and often against the Raiders.
