Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are offering a slew of legendary Pokémon for trainers to catch 'em all. But not only that, the developers revealed that players can add two mythical Pokémon—Mew and Jirachi—to their party. What's more, they are available in both versions that have now been released on the Nintendo Switch platform. Here's a guide on how to get Mew and Jirachi in the fourth gen remakes.

While players won't need to engage in any legendary battles or catch an exclusive event to obtain Mew and Jirachi, getting these mythical Pokémon will however require trainers to have other Pokémon Switch titles.

For Mew, players will need to have the save data from either Let's Go Pikachu! or Let's Go Eevee! on the Switch. Then, trainers will have to head over to Floaroma Town and go to the southwest end where you can find flower fields. Among the yellow flowers, a madame will appear beside another gentleman. Once you speak to the lady, you'll get Mew on your team in Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl.

Meanwhile, for Jirachi, players need to have save data from either Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield on the console. Now, this time, you need to move over to the other side of the pair and speak to the gentleman (yes, the same one in Floaroma Town's flower fields). Once you do that, Jirachi will be added to your team.

It's not hard at all to get your hands on these two fan-favorite Pokémon, so you can definitely get both of them if you have the needed copies of the past games. The Sinnoh remakes have just recently arrived on Switch and players are already enjoying the touched-up version, especially with all the additional Pokémon—legendaries or not—that have been included in the game.
