We finally have a release date for the novel and the most hyped new Pokemon game in town. The Diamond and Pearl prequel game will come out in early 2022, like what we've reported. The official Pokemon Twitter account said as much and even announced that the game is now available for pre-order. Pokemon Legends Arceus release date will be on January 28, 2022.

Nintendo revealed Pokemon Arceus for the first time last February during their 25th-year anniversary celebration live stream. Back then, all we knew was that its release date will fall under Early 2022. Now, we know for sure that the game will release very early 2022, and will be out on January 28, 2022.

The game will try to reinvigorate the Pokemon franchise. The most recent Pokemon games received strong criticisms from fans for being too stale and bland. Pokemon Arceus will shake things up by having new gameplay, a story that's set in ancient times, and new features never before seen in Pokemon games. The game follows the story of an ancient Pokemon trainer, so ancient that Pokeballs weren't a thing yet. The game will be set in Sinnoh, and will feature Pokemon endemic to the region.

As for actual gameplay details, information has been sparse so far. Aside from Pokemon Legends Arceus release date, Nintendo hasn't really given us a lot to go for. Hopefully Game Freak being quiet about the game only means that there will be a lot of surprises for the game. Hopefully these surprises will actually be good ones.
