It has been anything but a promising start to the 2018 season for the Oakland Raiders in their first year under head coach Jon Gruden losing four out of their first five games.

This has put them in a bit of hole toward turn things around, which is something that head coach Jon Gruden has acknowledged about the future of his team, according to Michael Gehlken of The Las Vegas Review-Journal.

“Well, I think we have a ways to go,” Gruden said. “We got a lot to prove. We have a lot to prove. As I’ve said earlier, we’re playing eight rookies right now. Before the season the season is over, we might be playing more than that. So we have a lot to prove. We need to see some people get healthy and help us. But we’ve got a lot to prove.”

The Raiders are a bit of a tight spot through just the first few weeks of the season, but it hasn't been as gloomy as their record may suggest. Oakland has been in the game with each opponent prior to last Sunday's 26-10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers that includes a pair of losses eight points or less to the Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos.

Oakland does have some pieces to build around offensive with Pro Bowl quarterback Derek Carr along with proven wide receivers in Amari Cooper and Jordy Nelson, and a stable running back in Marshawn Lynch. It has come down to their play in key moments with Carr being a major culprit in that department with game-altering turnovers.

The Raiders have a chance to turn things back in the right direction on Sunday morning in London at Wembley Stadium against the Seattle Seahawks.
