In an exclusive interview with the Establish The Pass podcast on ClutchPoints, Las Vegas Raiders Pro Bowler Darren Waller talked about the team being within striking distance of the Kansas City Chiefs, his growing chemistry with Derek Carr as one of the most explosive duos in the NFL, his impressive place in the Raider record books in just two full seasons, his music career, work with the community, his favorite Jon Gruden saying, and more.

Waller previously talked about his belief that the gap between the Raiders and Chiefs is not that big, despite the disparity between each franchise's place in the final standings the last few seasons. During our conversation, he elaborated on what Las Vegas must do to take the next step and match Kansas City's success as a perennial Super Bowl contender.

“Our best is right there with the Chiefs’ best, but the difference is the consistency at which we play our best,” said Waller. “The Chiefs give you that same product every week whereas we don’t. We’ve been very inconsistent, especially down the stretch in the season. And with that, I think it just comes down to small details. It's little things that have gotten in the way of us, like beating the Chiefs the second time, and just how we approach playing teams late in the season. You can’t just go off of showing up and playing, it has to be those extra details in the film study, how we approach practice, every drill, every rep. We have to be better at that as a whole, that’s what’s separating us from being where we want to be at this point in time.”
