Oakland Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown has given people a lot of reasons to believe he isn't the best teammate, but he appears to be hard at work in changing that notion.

Raiders linebacker Tahir Whitehead says that Brown's influence in the locker room is palpable, saying that Brown is taking everyone under his wing, and that it isn't limited to just receivers:

“He comes in, you know, he's in the locker room offering the young guys advice,” Whitehead said, via the Raiders' official Twitter account. “He's taking guys under his wing, and it's not just wide receivers. He's chatting it up with guys on the defensive side. Everyone talks about the bad blood between him and Vontaze [Burfict]. It's been nothing but love. They're just chomping it up, talking ball. You ask him a question about offense, he's shedding light on what he's looking at from the offense. He's a premier guy in the league and you can see every bit why being around him.”

Brown was traded to Oakland back in March after a nine-year run with the Pittsburgh Steelers. While the 31-year-old had a tenuous relationship with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and has become well-known for going AWOL on this team during the final week of the 2018 campaign, Brown made seven Pro Bowls and earned four First-Team All-Pro selections in Pittsburgh.

And by all accounts, Brown has seemed to be a model citizen with the Raiders thus far.

Oakland won just four games this past year, but due to a busy offseason that included acquisitions like Brown, the Raiders could be ready to take a big step forward in 2019.
