Tom Brady ultimately signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in free agency back in March, ending an incredibly riveting month of speculation.

Brady spent the first couple of decades of his career with the New England Patriots, collecting six Super Bowl titles and establishing himself as the greatest quarterback of all time in the eyes of most.

Many expected Brady to return to the Patriots, but he shook the NFL world when he decided to bolt snowy New England for sunny Tampa Bay.

Based on Brady's history, it's no surprise that he was the center of attention throughout the early stages of free agency. And Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr recently shed some light on the situation:

“Yeah, let’s be honest, the dude has won six Super Bowls,” Carr told Vic Tafur of The Athletic. “You have to be crazy to not watch his film and talk about it when he is a free agent. Right? You’re going to watch film of Tom Brady. Like, where’s he at?”

Carr makes a great point.

While the Brady sweepstakes may have been an annoyance to some, you can certainly understand why there so much intrigue surrounding the future Hall-of-Famer.

There was even some speculation that Brady could join the Raiders, so Carr probably paid more attention to the rumors than most.

Regardless, Carr's job is safe for now, and it doesn't appear that he will ever have to worry about giving up his spot under center to the GOAT.

The Raiders went 7-9 in 2019.
