Henry Ruggs is projected to be an immediate contributor for the Las Vegas Raiders as a rookie and they have lofty expectations for him moving forward. Ahead of his first year with the Raiders, Ruggs is expected to see a similar role that Las Vegas had in mind for Antonio Brown last season, per Bleacher Report's Matt Miller.

Early in the 2019 offseason, the Raiders elected to trade for Brown after he became disgruntled with his situation with the Pittsburgh Steelers. When they landed the All-Pro wideout, Las Vegas had countless plans for him in the offense. However, as many know, Brown's tenure with the Raiders was short-lived.

The talented, yet troubled wide receiver, would have run-ins with the team due to off-the-field issues during training camp. As a result, Brown would never suit up in a game with Las Vegas in 2019. Nonetheless, a year later, the Raiders believe they found themselves a dynamic No. 1 wide receiver in Ruggs.

Coming out of Alabama, Ruggs was regarded as one of the coveted wide receiver prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft. Seeing that the Raiders have an affinity for speedy pass-catchers, it was all but a guarantee for them to take Ruggs with the No. 12 pick in the first round.

With Derek Carr entering a pivotal year in his career, the Raiders have surrounded him with plenty of talented skill players. While Las Vegas moves into their new home in Sin City, Ruggs is poised to be a cornerstone in their offense for years to come.
