Oakland Raiders coach Jon Gruden had no interest in telling his exact feelings to ESPN on how he feels about the Vontaze Burfict suspension but it's clear he isn't very happy.

“I'm not really going to say anything. I've talked to (Jon) Runyan (NFL Vice President of Football Operations) in the league office, he knows how I feel. It hurts our team really bad. And I'm anxious to see what the appeal says. I'm not happy about it. At all. And I don't want to say anything else about it. I'm obviously upset about it.”

Burfict was ejected during the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts after a hit on Jack Doyle.

The league cited his continued repeated violations of the unnecessary roughness rule for the reason of the suspension for the rest of the year. Burfict is appealing the suspension and is currently in London with the team but he can't be involved in any practices or team activities until the appeal is completed.

Derek Carr also told TMZ that he feels like Burfict is someone who is misunderstood and he is one of the best teammates he has ever hard.

“I think he's one of the most misunderstood people in the NFL,” Carr said.

“He's one of the most genuine, awesome people I've been around. He's a great teammate. He works his tail off and he's a great guy.”

It will be interesting to see if the league does lesson the suspension, but it's hard to imagine he will be on the field when the team plays the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
