The Las Vegas Raiders suffered multiple blows during a disappointing Week 12 performance on the field against the Atlanta Falcons. In addition to the ugly 43-6 count on the scoreboard, Raiders star running back Josh Jacobs suffered an ankle sprain, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

The silver lining, though, is that Jacobs' injury looked worse than it really is. The Raiders running back is undergoing more tests to determine the exact severity of the issue.

The former Alabama standout managed to see limited action on the gridiron against the Falcons, producing only 27 rushing yards on seven carries along with three receptions for 17 receiving yards. He also fumbled once.

Prior to this injury, Josh Jacobs had managed to stay healthy this season after missing three games as a rookie. In 11 games played through Week 12 of the 2020 NFL season, the rusher has already tallied a total of 782 rushing yards on 206 carries and nine scored touchdowns.

The Raiders are hoping Jacobs won't have to miss time with this injury, or at least they're hoping any missed time is minimal. Las Vegas now finds itself on a two-game losing skid to tally a 6-5 record, which is good for second place in the AFC West behind the mighty Kansas City Chiefs.

While the Raiders are in second in their division, they're currently sitting outside the AFC playoff picture in the No. 9 slot. There's still plenty of time to get into the field given how tightly bunched so many teams are, but Las Vegas needs to figure things out after two straight disappointing losses.

Hopefully, Josh Jacobs will be on the field to help the Raiders turn things around.
