Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr went down early in the second half against the Cleveland Browns after a multi-player strip-sack. The Browns scooped up the football, but the bigger worry was Carr's condition, as the quarterback was left on the ground grabbing his leg.

After medical staff examined the quarterback, he was able to get up and limp off the field under his own power. According to Mary Kay Cabot, Carr was initially listed as questionable to return to the game.

Multiple Browns players swarmed Carr on the play, and the Raiders quarterback disappeared in a pile of Browns jerseys. It was a worrying sight but certainly encouraging to see the franchise quarterback able to walk off under his own power.

Carr was seen on the sideline shortly after the play and was giving a thumbs up. The broadcast later mentioned he was expected to return to action, and noted that Marcus Mariota, who would be in line to replace Carr, had not even removed his jacket.

Carr had helped the Raiders get out to a 10-0 lead in the first half over Cleveland so having him back in the game to help protect their advantage will be critical.

With the Raiders right in the midst of the playoff hunt, having their starting quarterback calling the shots and leading the team will be more important than ever, so avoiding a serious injury was significant.
