The Las Vegas Raiders have signed linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Kwiatkoski spent the first four years of his career with the Chicago Bears and is coming off of a 2019 campaign in which he played every game and registered 76 tackles, three sacks, an interception, a forced fumble and four passes defended.

The 26-year-old, who played his collegiate football at West Virginia, was originally selected by the Bears in the fourth round (113th pick overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He appeared in 14 contests and made seven starts during his rookie year, finishing with 44 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble. He then posted similar numbers in 2017, participating in 11 games with six starts and totaling 49 tackles, a couple of sacks and a forced fumble.

Kwiatkoski proceeded to play in every game in 2018, but this time, it was almost exclusively in a reserve role, as he made just one start and recorded 15 tackles and a forced fumble.

The Raiders entered free agency in need of linebacking help, and while Kwiatkoski may not be the answer Las Vegas fans wanted, he is at least serviceable and is fresh off of a solid season.

The Raiders also have ample cap space, so they can always sign another linebacker if they so please.

After residing in Oakland since 1994, the Raiders will be moving to Las Vegas next season, and they are obviously hoping for a heck of a lot more success than they had in the Bay Area.

During their 26-year-run in Oakland, the Raiders made just four playoff appearances.
