After just three seasons in the NFL, Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby has emerged as a pass rusher who no offensive lineman would want to face off with at the line of scrimmage.

Crosby has created havoc in the backfield over his early run with the Raiders, recording 25.0 sacks in 49 games played. He is coming off of a season where he took his pass-rushing prowess to another level, as he posted career-highs in both total pressures (42) and quarterback knockdowns (19).

Crosby has already earned the respect of multiple veteran pass rushers in the NFL today, including his new teammate in Chandler Jones. When asked during a press conference on Friday to react to Crosby’s comments about him earlier this year when he labeled his pass-rushing style as “unorthodox,” the veteran defensive lineman took some time to laud the third-year defensive end.

“There's a lot of things that he does that I can't do and there's a lot of things that he does at his age that I didn't know,” Jones said.

A key season awaits Crosby later this year, which comes after he put pen to paper on a four-year, $98.98 million contract extension deal with Raiders team officials in March. Not only will Raiders defensive coordinator Paul Guenther continually call upon Crosby to simply get to opposing quarterbacks, but Jones sure will also be relied on to deliver in crucial games this season.
