Former Las Vegas Raiders head coach Jon Gruden's racist email scandal has just escalated to a whole new level. After the 58-year-old shot-caller vehemently denied being a racist, a new batch of damning emails has now been made public. It looks like there's no way back for Gruden after this bombshell.

Ken Belson and Katherine Rosman from the New York Times dropped a huge exposé piece on the now former Raiders coach wherein the contents of several other emails prove that his claim of not having “a blade of racism” in him is absolutely untrue. Here is one of the most shocking excerpts from the article:

Gruden’s messages were sent to Bruce Allen, the former president of the Washington Football Team, and others, while he was working for ESPN as a color analyst during “Monday Night Football,” the sports network’s weekly prime-time telecast of N.F.L. games. In the emails, Gruden called the league’s commissioner, Roger Goodell, a “faggot” and a “clueless anti football pussy” and said that Goodell should not have pressured Jeff Fisher, then the coach of the Rams, to draft “queers,” a reference to Michael Sam, a gay player chosen by the team in 2014.

Unless Gruden is able to prove that these emails did not come from him, then it doesn't look like there's any way he can spin this. The Raiders will now be under the microscope here, and how they will need to be extremely cautious about how they react to this bombshell.

Parting ways with Gruden appeared to be the clear option for Las Vegas, and that's exactly what happened, with the now former Raiders head coach resigning shortly after this report from the New York Times.
