The Oakland Raiders , Trent Brown, and Josh Jacobs are trying to stop the bleeding; they've lost back-to-back games to cause their playoff hopes to fade. On Sunday, they'll play the surging 7-5 Tennessee Titans, without their starting right tackle.

On Friday, the Raiders officially ruled out right tackle Trent Brown for Sunday's matchup with a pectoral injury. He did not participate in practice throughout the week. Rookie sensation running back Josh Jacobs is questionable with a shoulder injury; he practiced on Friday after not doing so on Wednesday and Thursday.

Brown, the Raiders' prize free agency haul in March, has been a revelation for Oakland's offensive line. The big, sturdy right tackle will be missed on Sunday. It will be his second missed game of the 2019 campaign, as he's been banged up throughout the season. Brandon Parker is expected to start on Sunday.

Jacobs is dealing with a fractured right shoulder. He is open playing through it and providing Oakland with consistency at running back. A rookie from the Alabama Crimson Tide, Jacobs is a front-runner for Offensive Rookie of the Year, tallying 1,061 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground.

Said Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Olson on Thursday, via The Heavy:

“Well we manage them throughout the week. And we’re aware of that. I think we would never put a player in harm. But we’ve managed him and he’s been honest with us in terms of the injury. And our training staff has done a great job, really, throughout the week making sure that he’s ready to go on Sundays.”

Jacobs has not missed a game in 2019.
