Oakland Raiders linebacker Vontaze Burfict has a history of questionable (at best) behavior on the football field, and on Sunday afternoon, his ugly side reared its head again, as he laid a helmet-to-helmet hit on Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle.

Not only was Burfict penalized and ejected, but on Monday, it was announced that the Oakland Raiders linebacker was suspended for the remainder of the season, and Fox Sports analyst and Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe has nor problem with that.

As a matter of fact, Sharpe doesn't think Burfict should ever play again.

Sharpe makes a great point, and you have to wonder if Burfict will ever get to play in the NFL again at this stage.

The 29-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Arizona State, went undrafted because of his character issues in 2012 but eventually landed with the Cincinnati Bengals as a free agent because of his sheer talent.

Burfict went on to have a terrific rookie year, playing in all 16 games and registering 127 tackles, a sack and a couple of fumble recoveries. The following year, Burfict was even better, appearing in all 16 contests and racking up 177 tackles, three sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, a pair of fumble recoveries, six passes defended and a defensive touchdown en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

However, since then, suspensions and injuries have prevented Burfict from ever playing any more than 11 games in a single season.

He was cut by the Bengals back in March and proceeded to sign a one-year deal with the Raiders. He logged 18 tackles in four games.
