The Las Vegas Raiders appear to be a team looking to add a quarterback of some variety this offseason and it could be dependent on where Tom Brady signs. According to Vic Tafur of The Athletic, Las Vegas could pursue Ryan Tannehill if Brady lands with the Tennessee Titans.

Not too long ago, the Raiders were once a team that was rumored to be in the mix for Brady. However, their interest in the future Hall of Famer seems to have subsided recently.

Instead of signing Brady, Las Vegas could look to replace Derek Carr with Tannehill next season. But for that to be remotely possible, the Titans would have to sign Brady.

While Tannehill was prospering in Tennessee's offense this past season, Jon Gruden was someone that took notice. With the Raiders making the move to Las Vegas, Gruden wants to make sure he has the right quarterback under center.

When Gruden took the Raiders job in 2018, he inherited Carr as his starting signal-caller. Through their first two seasons together, Carr and Gruden haven't seen eye-to-eye at times.

Also, Gruden is a fan of quarterbacks that can stretch the field vertically. After starting the final 10 games of the 2019 season for the Titans, Tannehill averaged a career-high 9.6 yards per attempt. Comparatively, Carr has shown an unwillingness to throw downfield, averaging just 7.9 yards per attempt in 2019.

In the event that the Raiders choose to remain with Carr, they could look to add a veteran backup like Marcus Mariota or Case Keenum. But before reaching that stage, Las Vegas could be waiting to see if Tannehill becomes available.
