The Las Vegas Raiders are in desperate need of help in their receiving corps, so it should not come as a surprise that they seem to be targeting a wide receiver early in this week's NFL Draft.

But who exactly are the Raiders looking to pick? It seems like it might be Alabama's Henry Ruggs III.

During an appearance on the Pro Football Talk Podcast earlier this week, Ruggs said that Las Vegas has been one of three clubs that has been “constantly contacting” him ahead of the draft.

Ruggs mentioned the Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers as the other two teams. The Kansas City Chiefs have also been rumored to be interested in the speedster.

The 21-year-old did not have an incredibly productive collegiate career, but the 4.27-second 40-yard dash he ran at the Scouting Combine back in February has had everyone buzzing ever since.

Ruggs spent three seasons at Alabama, arriving at the school in 2017.

He had an interesting freshman season, as six of his 12 catches went for touchdowns. However, his playing time was rather limited overall, and he ended with just 229 yards on the year.

The following season, Ruggs' role increased significantly, as he hauled in 46 receptions for 741 yards and 11 scores, flashing his potential as a vertical threat.

Ruggs concluded his NCAA career by catching 40 passes for 746 yards while reaching the end zone seven times during his junior campaign.

The Raiders own a pair of first-round picks at No. 12 and No. 19. They won't pick again until the third round, where they possess three selections.
