Marshawn Lynch's NFL career probably isn't over. Though the former All-Pro running back hasn't confirmed his plans to continue playing going forward, most assume he's still likely to embark on a 13th season after his brief retirement three years ago.

The bigger question is where Lynch would play next season with the Oakland Raiders poised to leave his beloved hometown in the East Bay.

Now that the Raiders have reached an agreement to play home games at the Coliseum in 2019, though, could Oakland's native son return for a third go-around with the silver and black?

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo sure seems to think so.

The Raiders and stadium officials are reportedly in the process of finalizing a deal that would keep the team in its longtime home through at least next season.

If the Raiders' new stadium in Las Vegas isn't ready in time for their league-approved move come 2020, they will apparently be permitted to continue playing home games at the Coliseum. The plan, once completed, could be presented to Oakland city officials as soon as this Friday.

Lynch, 32, signed with the Raiders in 2017 despite retiring from the NFL two years earlier. He played just six games in 2018, placed on injured reserve in late October with a groin injury originally scheduled to keep him out of just a few games.

Instead, Lynch missed the season's remainder. He rushed 376 yards and three touchdowns last season, averaging 4.3 yards per carry.

Lynch's days as a true workhorse have been numbered for years.

As part of a backfield-by-committee operation, though, his ability churn out tough yards between the tackles should make him an attractive option in free agency for both the Raiders and other teams in need of help at running back.
