Although the Las Vegas Raiders and Jalen Richard wobbled at times against the New Orleans Saints, they stopped New Orleans' efforts to mount a comeback.

The Raiders capped a 10-play, 89-yard drive with a 20-yard touchdown scamper by running back Jalen Richard to extend their lead, via NFL Twitter:

It is encouraging to see the Raiders offense keep their foot on the gas pedal since no lead can be considered safe against this tested Saints team. After all, the team is well aware of what is at stake playing in their first ever home game at Allegiant Stadium.

Although Josh Jacobs has emerged as a workhorse in the backfield, Las Vegas made sure to shore up some quality depth behind him this offseason. Despite Richard's role as a change-of-pace option, he was clearly able to take full advantage of his opportunity in the red zone for the Raiders, who went up by 14 points and held off the Saints late to win their first game in Las Vegas. The Raiders are 2-0 and look like a surprise contender for an AFC wild card berth, something Vegas fans might not have been expecting before the season began.
