Los Angeles Rams star defensive tackle Aaron Donald can rarely be stopped in his mission to tackle the opposing quarterback. Even when teams try, it does not work out too well, but the 28-year-old has been double-teamed 82 times in the 2019 NFL season—a league-leading mark through four weeks.

Per ESPN's Lindsey Thiry on Twitter, Donald is high above the rest of the league in double teams.

The Rams are reeling from their first defeat this season, a 15-point loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home in a shootout. In the defeat, the five-time Pro-Bowl defensive lineman recorded four combined tackles, one tackle for a loss but failed to hit the quarterback or record a sack on Jameis Winston.

Winston had a huge day against the Rams at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Sunday, totaling 385 passing yards for four touchdowns. He was sacked twice, but neither time by the two-time Defensive Player of the Year Donald.

So far through four games this season, Donald has accrued just one sack, 10 combined tackles, and three QB hits. Donald is coming off an earth-shattering 2018 campaign wherein he made 20.5 sacks. While personal goals may be taking a backseat for Donald, the Rams are still 3-1 and overall look like they're in great shape, Donald's own stats notwithstanding.

The Rams have a tough divisional matchup on Thursday at the Seattle Seahawks. In order to stop MVP candidate quarterback Russell Wilson, L.A. is going to need all of Donald and his terrorizing march in the pocket, double teams or anything.
