Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Brandin Cooks has had a scary 2019 campaign, as he suffered a concussion back in Week 5 and then sustained another concussion in Week 8.

The Rams had a bye last week, so Cooks got some time to rest, and he has already been ruled out of his team's matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday.

As a matter of fact, there seems to be a chance that Cooks could miss the rest of the season.

But on Thursday, the wideout took to Instagram to tell everyone that he can't wait to get back on the field, even using an inspirational quote from a well-known cartoon sponge:

“If you let em! They will write your story for you,” wrote Cooks. “Don’t stop until you reach your final destination. Don’t let anyone or anything lead you off course. You stay firmly at the helm until your journey is a success. Whether some like it or not I’m far from that end destination when it comes to this game.

“I’m thankful that this soon will be something in the past. Time and time again my God is faithful and blessed nothing serious. Can’t wait to get back on the field this year. Like my good ole pal Spongebob Squarepants says ‘I’m ready I’m ready I’m ready…'”

Cooks has had known five concussions throughout his NFL career, so his current situation is obviously nothing to take lightly.

In eight games this year, the 26-year-old has logged 27 catches for 402 yards and a touchdown. He hauled in 80 receptions for 1,204 yards and five scores during his first season in Los Angeles last year.

The Rams are 5-3 thus far in 2019.
