Earlier this week news broke that Los Angeles Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein was hurt during the NFC championship game. However, Zuerlein was still able to make two huge kicks at the end of the NFC championship game against the New Orleans Saints.

When Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times asked Zuerlein about his foot, he was very optimistic.
Zuerlein told Klein:
“It won’t be an issue, I hope. Feel good about [it].”
Rams coach Sean McVay had Zuerlein wearing a boot on his left foot during the NFC title game. The team is allowing him to skip practices and prepare for the Super Bowl.

McVay unironically told Greg Beacham of the Associated Press:

“Didn’t look like it affected him, did it?”

Zuerlein has been extremely reliable this past season and especially so in the playoffs. Zuerlein is 7-of-8 on field goals and 5-of-5 on extra points in the playoffs so far. He was 27-of-31 on field goals and 35-of-36 on extra points through 11 games played in the regular season. He's been one of the best kickers in the league for some time.

The Los Angeles Rams went 13-3 this past season and finished first overall in the NFC West Division.

They have steamrolled through the playoffs. They beat the Dallas Cowboys handily in the Divisional Round by a score of 30-22. Then they barely clawed onto victory against the New Orleans Saints in the NFC championship game.

The Rams will face off against the New England in the Super Bowl on February 2nd.
