Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff took that major step up from rookie to sophomore campaign in 2018. Perhaps the key lied within a gift from one of the greats.

A year ago, New England Patriots legend Tom Brady gifted an autographed copy of the TB12 Method to the young Goff, the young Rams quarterback revealed recently during an interview with Thuzio.

“A year ago, Tom actually sent me his TB12 book and signed it and wrote, ‘Good luck with everything.’ And that was kind of cool. Again, like, how cool is that?”

In addition to the book, simply playing against the great No. 12 during his rookie season did wonders, Goff explained.

“I think something that was cool for me to see was I played against Tom Brady my rookie year and I played against Drew Brees my rookie year,” Goff said. “Being able to see them work was, I mean, mind-blowing. Growing up and seeing that, and then playing against them, it was like, ‘Holy smokes, this is unbelievable.’”

Goff, 23, is coming off a Pro-Bowl season that saw him throw 3,804 yards and 28 touchdowns to just seven interceptions. It was a far cry from his pour rookie season in which he could only muster seven starts, throwing just five scores and seven picks.

Perhaps the TB12 Method had something to do with the jump?
