Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and Cincinnati Bengals rising star Joe Burrow showed immense love and respect for each other after their epic showdown on Sunday in Super Bowl 56.
Stafford and the Rams came out on top in the tightly contested affair, but Burrow and his Bengals didn't back down and put up an incredible performance to give LA quite the giant scare at home. Cincinnati was actually ahead 20-16 entering the final period, but they were unable to hold on and faltered facing the Los Angeles defense led by Aaron Donald.
While it was a painful result for Burrow, who was hoping to pull off an upset despite the odds being against them, he was a class act in the end as he shared a hug with Stafford following the game.

Joe Burrow finished with one touchdown and zero interception as he completed 22 of his 33 passing attempts. Meanwhile, Matthew Stafford went 26-of-40 in his pass attempts, finishing with three touchdowns and two interceptions in the process.
Stafford's erratic passing that led to interceptions early on put the Rams in trouble; fortunately, they were able to turn things around.
It is quite a frustrating ending for Burrow, who even got Tom Brady comparisons heading to Super Bowl 56. However, there is no doubt he has the ability to lead his Bengals back to the big stage sooner rather than later.
Hopefully, fans will get to see another Stafford-Burrow showdown in the Super Bowl in the near future.
