Los Angeles Rams punter Johnny Hekker was the longest-tenured player on the roster, but no more. Pat McAfee reported Tuesday morning that the Rams will be releasing Hekker:

Hekker joined the Rams in 2012 and soon became one of the best punters in the NFL. He made four Pro Bowls and All-Pro teams in five years from 2013-17. While the accolades weren't there in recent years for Hekker, he was still a good punter and finally part of a Super Bowl-winning team this past season.

As McAfee notes, Hekker is just 32 years old and wants to keep on punting. Another team will surely be willing to scoop him up to bomb some punts for them.

While Hekker is gone, the Rams have a bunch of other important business to take care of in free agency. Aaron Donald hasn't yet made his decision about his future amid retirement rumors, and he'll need a reworked contract if he decides to return. Then there are the free agencies of Odell Beckham Jr. and Von Miller, with both players strong candidates to re-sign. Miller has teased a possible reunion with the Denver Broncos, but he'll give Los Angeles a chance.

There could also be a contract extension for Matthew Stafford after he led the Rams to their Super Bowl win. It's a busy offseason in Los Angeles, and it's a shame that Johnny Hekker will be moving on.
