Matthew Stafford finally won his first playoff game, and among the people happiest for him is none other than Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay. However, the veteran tactician might have a different reason.

Stafford powered the Rams to an overwhelming 34-11 win over the Cardinals on Monday, throwing two touchdowns on just 13-of-17 pass completion for 202 yards. Kyler Murray simply wasn't a match against the 33-year-old signal-caller, who remained composed and dissected the Arizona defense perfectly.

The LA franchise went ahead 21-0 at halftime, and they never looked back.

After the game, McVay was naturally asked about Stafford getting his first playoff win. The veteran QB never had much success during his time with the Detroit Lions from 2009 to 2020, making just three playoff appearances and losing all games. Now, the Rams head coach is just happy his quarterback will no longer be asked about that.

“Now you guys can stop asking him about it!” McVay said on Stafford's postseason milestone, per Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.

To be fair, it's not hard to be happy for Matthew Stafford even for those who are not fans of him. The reason the media kept bugging him about the playoffs and getting his first win is also understandable, given the fact that he hasn't won in the postseason even after more than a decade in the league, playing 182 regular season games and making 320 touchdowns.

Sure enough, as Sean McVay said it, all the questions and criticisms on Stafford being a non-winner will stop. Here's to hoping that he won't be stopping at one playoff win, though,
