Odell Beckham Jr. has been quite a vital contributor to the Los Angeles Rams’ attack on offense, which quarterback Matthew Stafford sees has been pivotal as of late.
In speaking during a press conference ahead of the Rams’ upcoming Week 17 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, Stafford took some time to laud Beckham’s early run with the team.
“He’s a great teammate,” Stafford said. “He’s doing a great job of getting open when he is getting his opportunities.
“The guy comes out, works hard, does everything he’s supposed to do.”
One would have a difficult time attempting to find any Rams player or coach say anything negative about Beckham's tenure with the team so far this season. He has met expectations with the Rams and, as head coach Sean McVay put it, the veteran wideout continues to be a potent team player.
“This guy’s been nothing but a joy to be around from the very first time,” McVay added. “He’s got great charisma, a great presence.
“He’s an incredibly talented football player. And then, I can attest to this now, he’s a great teammate.”
After a rather slow start in his opening couple of games with the Rams, Beckham has become more of a go-to target for Stafford as of late, which includes three touchdown receptions in the team’s last four contests.
Beckham is now set to meet a familiar foe in the Ravens up next. He faced off against them three times during his three-season run with the Cleveland Browns, where he combined for 66 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.
The Rams will have a golden opportunity to clinch the NFC West in Week 17 with a win over the Ravens coupled with an Arizona Cardinals defeat to the Dallas Cowboys.
