Aqib Talib and Michael Crabtree are two of the better players at their respective positions, but over the last couple years, the duo became known more for something other than football. Most recently, their epic brawl in 2017 resulted in Talib ripping a gold chain off Crabtree’s neck. With both switching teams in the offseason, it appeared as if the rivalry was going to be dormant this season.

But, as luck would have it, that is not going to be the case. They will not meet in the regular season, but they will have the joy of practicing against each other during the preseason. It appears that Crabtree’s new team, the Baltimore Ravens, and Talib’s, the Los Angeles Rams, are going to hold joint practices during the preseason.

The Ravens host the Rams in a preseason game on August 9.

Last season’s fight between the two in Week 12 marked the second year in a row the two fought. But, this rendition one was much more intense and resulted in both getting ejected and eventually suspended.

Initially, the NFL handed down a two-game suspension for both, but the punishment was eventually reduced to one upon appeal.

Practicing against someone not on your own team can really help coaches evaluate guys, but in the interest of keeping the peace, the Rams and Ravens may want to make sure Talib and Crabtree don’t face off during practice.

If they do, someone needs to tell Crabtree to take his jewelry off before practice. Otherwise, it won't be pretty.
