Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey has joined a multitude of others in the claim that Aaron Donald is the best defensive tackle in NFL history.

During his press conference ahead of the Rams’ 2022 NFC Championship Game clash with the San Francisco 49ers, Ramsey opened up on the desire to win it all this year for Donald, where he also noted that the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year winner is the greatest to ever play this position.

“For sure, the best defensive tackle to play the game,” Ramsey said. “I mean, he's achieved so much in his career. Personal achievements, defensive player of the years, Pro Bowls, All Pros. He has everything already that he's achieved at a super high level.”

Donald could call it a career today, and his resume with the Rams would very likely be enough to one day earn him the call to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He is one of three players ever to win at least a trio of NFL Defensive Player of the Year honors. From the eight Pro Bowl selections to the 98.0 career sacks, Donald, as Ramsey noted, has already left behind a stout legacy.

In the big picture, debates on just who is the greatest defensive tackle in NFL history could go on for hours, especially as the likes of Joe Greene and Warren Sapp are also in discussion regarding this matter.

Donald is currently looking to claim a Super Bowl win, which is a feat that both Greene and Sapp managed to achieve during their respective careers. The longtime Rams defensive lineman faces an arduous test up next in the NFC title game against the 49ers.
