The Baltimore Ravens got their third straight win after they made quick work of the New Orleans Saints, 27-13, on the road in Week 9 of the 2022 NFL season. At 6-3, the Ravens continue to rule the AFC North in first place. Here are the Ravens' four biggest heroes from their Week 9 win vs. the Saints.

The Ravens went into Louisiana set to face the dynamic Saints, which were led by a red-hot Andy Dalton. The thing is, Baltimore had its own star QB, and he stole the show.

Highlight machine Lamar Jackson led the Ravens to a big Monday Night Football win. He lifted an otherwise unpredictable Baltimore offense over a tough conference rival. Jackson's legs, along with a great night from veteran pass rusher Justin Houston, powered the Ravens to their sixth victory of the season.

The Ravens will take a week off before hosting the Panthers, who turned to Baker Mayfield in a disappointing defeat to the Bengals on Sunday.

Let us look at the Ravens' four biggest heroes from their Week 9 win vs. the Saints.

4. CB Marlon Humphrey

Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey has had a pretty tough season, but he was rock-solid in this game. He found ways to break up passes for would-be scores and led the team in tackles with seven. Humphrey also recorded his first sack of the season. He's been nothing short of a reliable contributor to this squad, and Baltimore fans hope to see more of this from him in the games to come.

3. RB Kenyan Drake

Backup RB Kenyan Drake stepped up big time in this game. He carried 24 times for 93 yards and two scores in the Saints' win. He also had two 16-yard catches.

Drake dominated the carries for the Ravens because of the absence of Gus Edwards and JK Dobbins. Despite averaging only 3.9 yards per carry, Drake had two runs of more than ten yards and two scores of one and three yards.

Yes, he isn't a flashy rusher, but Drake has proven to be a dependable and hard-working player. He possesses the pace to break lengthy runs. However, his power and ability to wear down opponents, particularly in the second half, was most impressive. He also had several powerful second-effort rushes in the latter two quarters that left Saints defenders tackling air.

We're not sure if Drake can keep this up as Gus Edwards might return next week. Still, Baltimore fans can sleep well knowing they actually have an RB1-worthy player behind Edwards.

2. LB Justin Houston

Four-time Pro Bowl pass rusher Justin Houston came into this game ranked 39th all-time with 108 career sacks. After a dismal debut season in Baltimore, when he only had 4.5 QB takedowns, the sack artist is back for another season rushing ferociously off the edge.

This season, Houston is enjoying a lot more success. The 33-year-old had recorded just six sacks in five games before Week 9. He had also started just once. This time, however, he made a strong argument for greater playing time, recording 2.5 sacks. As such, he currently trails Randy White by half a sack after passing Greg Townsend on the NFL's unofficial sack leaders list.

As if that wasn't enough, Houston also had an interception! That prompted no less than Lamar Jackson to give the defensive playmaker a ton of praise after the game. It was absolutely well-deserved.

1. QB Lamar Jackson

While the statistics may not indicate it, Ravens star QB Lamar Jackson maintained his strong play from Thursday night in a well-managed game with several really cool highlights. With two of his best receivers and Gus Edwards out, he had to spread the ball about. In fact, he passed for 133 yards and a score with no interceptions and also gained 82 yards on the run.

Jackson got off to a fast start via the air. He guided the Ravens on their second possession on an 11-play, 76-yard touchdown drive that ended with a 24-yard touchdown pass to Isaiah Likely. He also showed terrific arm power and a lot of zip on the ball early in the game, though he also missed a bunch of wide-open receivers. There were times he did appear to lack touch and did not have enough air beneath the ball when needed.

Needless to say, Jackson was an excellent runner, particularly on some of his option plays on the outside. In fact, he found success with his legs, ripping off runs of 17, 16, and 12 yards. As a consequence, this was his fifth game this season with more than 50 running yards.

When it counted the most, Jackson got the job done.
