Every team in the NFL is starting to make roster adjustments with the 2022 NFL free agency right around the corner. For the Baltimore Ravens, they should be in for a busy offseason but are off to a great start after clearing some cap space. It'll be interesting to see how this franchise adjusts the roster, but they're now in a prime position to make some noise.
According to Jamison Hensley, the Ravens regain $11.8 million in cap space after Alejandro Villanueva announced his retirement and Tavon Young's release from the team. This is a detrimental development for Baltimore, as they now have more cap space to improve the roster.
The Ravens gain $11.8M in salary cap space with these two moves:

The Ravens need help in the secondary and could use a major facelift on the defensive line. We'll see how the remainder of the offseason plays out, but the front office should feel confident right now. They should be able to use this money and allocate it towards players that will help the team improve. Additionally, they have great draft compensation and this draft seems equipped with Baltimore in mind.
Alejandro Villanueva is a long-time veteran who served as a consistent starting offensive tackle throughout his entire career. As for Tavon Young, he's mainly been a backup cornerback and should be a decent acquisition for a team needing an experienced defensive back.
Look for the Ravens to get aggressive in free agency as they'll do everything possible to generate a better roster than their division rival the Cincinnati Bengals. It should be a tight race between these teams in the AFC North next season.
