The Baltimore Ravens hope that Mark Ingram will be back on the field for the playoffs after suffering a calf injury on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The MRI only showed a calf strain which is the best-case scenario for a player who has been so important for the Ravens success this season. Ingram left the locker room on Sunday in a walking boot. After the game, Ravens coach John Harbaugh didn't seem overly concerned with the injury but said the team wouldn't know until the MRI results.

“I don't believe it's anything … there's no kind of structural issues or anything like that,” Harbaugh said via Jamison Hensley of ESPN. “His calf was cramping. We'll just have to see [Monday] to what degree, to what extent that means.”

The good news for the Ravens is they have the top seed locked up in the AFC which means they won't have to play during Wild Card weekend. That is going to give Ingram an extra week to get ready and fully healthy.

This is the first time that the Ravens have ever had the No. 1 seed in the AFC, and that is something that Harbaugh is proud of.

“It is a great accomplishment,” coach John Harbaugh said. “It's something that I'm sure people will always take pride in. It's something we'll look back on at some point. But right now, we're looking forward.”

The Ravens finish out the regular season in Week 17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and it wouldn't be shocking to see a lot of backups playing.
