The BaltimoreRavens will be making history during the draft, but not in the way you might expect. Mo Gaba, a blind 13-year old who is a fan of the team, will be making the 4th round selection for the team.

He will read off a card that is written in braille, and this will be the first time that a pick is ever read in such a way. Gaba, lost his sight when he was nine years old and is also currently battling cancer.

Mo often calls into 98 Rock to talk about the Ravens and the NFL draft but was surprised when Ravens coach John Harbaugh was on the other side of the line. Harbaugh invited him to call the pick which stunned Mo, and it was an opportunity that he couldn't pass up.

“Really? I’ve never done that before,” Mo said. “I would like to do that. Yeah!”

Mo has been through a lot in his life even though he is still young. He has already beaten cancer three times and is now battling it for the 4th time. There is currently a GoFundMe page that has already raised over 40k to help his family with the expenses that come with fighting cancer.

This is such a cool story and it's good to see teams like the Ravens get people involved in the draft that deserves it. The biggest hope with the 4th round pick is that the Ravens will get themselves a solid player, and that Mo can beat cancer for the 4th time. Who knows, maybe the number four will be lucky for both sides.
