One of the areas on the roster that the Baltimore Ravens decided to shake up this NFL offseason was at the wide receiver position with several new faces in the fray. This was headlined by the signing of former Oakland Raiders wideout Michael Crabtree on a three-year, $21 million deal.

It hasn't taken long for Crabtree to make a notable impact on his teammates as quarterback Joe Flacco has voiced some huge praise towards the 30-year-old's ability on the field, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.

The addition fo Crabtree brings aboard a proven wide receiver to the passing game that Flacco could greatly depend as the top receiving option. He is coming off a campaign where he had a notable drop in production, recording a team-best 58 catches for 618 receiving yards and a team-high eight touchdowns in 14 games played. He was a non-factor in the passing game in several contests recording fewer than 50 receiving yards six times and was also held without a reception in two games. This had also ended his streak of 121 consecutive games with at least one reception.

Despite all of that he is still one of the league's most reliable players at the position that has the proven resume to back up that notion. Prior to the 2017 season, he put together arguably the best campaign of his career posting a career-high 89 catches for 1,003 receiving yards with eight touchdowns, which marked just his second campaign with 1,000 receiving yards.

The fact that Flacco has already spoken highly of Crabtree could bode well for the two quickly developing a strong on-the-field connection that should lead to a bounce-back year for the veteran wideout and the Ravens hoping to snap a three-year playoff absence. There is plenty of potential that this pairing could work wonders for both sides that could become one of the better free-agent signings this offseason.
