The Baltimore Ravens have continued to keep a close watch on the health of quarterback Joe Flacco as he makes his way back from a nagging hip injury.

Flacco has taken more steps forward this week with his increased participation on the practice field. According to Josh Alper of ProFootballTalk, the 33-year-old was able to go through Friday's session without any limitations for the first time since suffering the injury back in Week 9.

Flacco will be listed as a full participant in practice for the first time since getting hurt in Week Nine. The Ravens had a bye the next week and Lamar Jackson has started the last three games.

It has been a progressive rehab process for Flacco over the last few weeks as he has missed the last three games. There is no timetable for his return, but his continued uptick in work in practice is a strong indicator that he is quite near being able to take the field.

In his absence, the Ravens have turned to rookie Lamar Jackson, who has helped lead the team to three straight wins to put them back in the playoff picture. Jackson has been a highly dependable option under center, primarily through the use of his legs, notching 265 rushing yards with two touchdowns over his first three career starts.

Jackson is also coming off another strong outing in the 26-16 win over the Atlanta Falcons, a game in which he completed 12-of-21 passes for 125 yards with 17 rushes for 75 yards and a touchdown. Despite Flacco's improving health, it appears the team will ride with Jackson as the starter at least through Week 14 action against the Kansas City Chiefs. There will be more clarity on this front over the next couple of days.
