The Baltimore Ravens managed to secure a much-needed win over the Oakland Raiders. They received even more good news with an encouraging update on quarterback Joe Flacco.

Flacco has missed the last two games with a hip injury. According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, he is expected to return to practice on Tuesday:

Joe Flacco is set to return to practice Tuesday after resting his injured hip for 2 weeks I'm told. At this point he's on clear of the starting status moving forward. The Ravens beat the Raiders today, Lamar Jackson has a strong shot to keep the job

This is certainly a good sign for Flacco. The veteran had been unable to practice since sustaining the hip injury. Although he had not participated, head coach John Harbaugh indicated that he would necessarily need to practice in order to play.

The fact that he is expected to take part in this week's sessions means he could be ready to make his return.

Unfortunately for Flacco, much has changed in his two-week absence. Quarterback Lamar Jackson has shown plenty of promise since taking over under center. He completed 14-of-25 passes for 178 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions. The rookie also tacked on 71 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries en route to a second consecutive win.

Although he still has much more fine-tuning to do, his versatility makes Baltimore's offense much more explosive.

Jackson's emergence has caused quite the quarterback conundrum for the Ravens. It will be interesting to see whether or not they are officially ready to move on from Flacco.
