Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh is confident that the team will be able to sign quarterback Lamar Jackson to a long term extension and also be able to keep some of the other young talent on the team.

According to Jamison Hensley of ESPN, Harbaugh said that he is confident that players will want to be back, and the team will find a way to get them back.

Jackson has two years left on his current contract and the Ravens can pick up his fifth-year option, something it's almost guaranteed they will do in the 2021 offseason. There hasn't been talk about how much the contract could be when he comes up for a new deal, but if he continues to play at an MVP level, there is no doubt he will be asking for top dollar.

With so much money going to the quarterback there will probably be some decisions that need to be made elsewhere on the roster, but Harbaugh is still confident the Ravens will figure it out.

Harbaugh also brought up Jackson's comments from earlier that he believed the team didn't take the Tennessee Titans seriously enough during the playoffs. But that isn't something that Harbaugh agrees with. Harbaugh said, per NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala:

“I don't think we took them lightly personally. We just didn't play well.”

Regardless if it was simply the Ravens not playing well or not taking the Titans seriously, the loss in the playoffs was shocking. The hope from the coaching staff is the Ravens will remember that loss as they are preparing to try and win a Super Bowl in 2020 and then focusing on paydays for Jackson and other players afterward.
