Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson dropped a bombshell on Wednesday's Rich Eisen Show.
The reigning MVP, who has been struggling to pass the ball this season, says defenses are calling out the Ravens' plays.
“They're calling out our plays, stuff like that,” Lamar Jackson said, via ESPN. “They know what we're doing. Sometimes stuff won't go our way if they're beating us to the punch.
“Yeah, they definitely do. Like, ‘run' and stuff like that. ‘Watch out for this, watch out for that.' Sometimes that's what's going on.”
The Ravens rank 15th in offensive points (24.8) and 23rd in yards (347) on the season. While they are 6-2 and well on their way to making the playoffs, Jackson and Co. have to become more explosive on offense if the team wants to win a playoff game.
Jackson ranks 27th in the NFL with 1,513 passing yards. The explosive playmaker is happy that the Ravens are winning games, but he knows he has to be better moving forward.
Otherwise, Baltimore will fail in the postseason once again with Jackson at quarterback.
The Ravens will take on the New England Patriots in Week 10. Both teams are coming off wins in Week 9. Baltimore defeated the Indianapolis Colts, while New England took care of business against the lowly New York Jets.
All eyes in the Ravens-Patriots game will be on Jackson and Cam Newton, two of the best running quarterbacks in NFL history. It should be an entertaining game from start to finish.
