The Baltimore Ravens are moving forward with Lamar Jackson as their franchise quarterback. Entering his second season, Jackson is poised to make a leap with the Ravens in 2019.

In an article by Jamison Hensley of ESPN, Jackson was asked about how he felt about the Cleveland Browns buzz coming into 2019. This is what he had to say:

“We play Miami first. I’m worried about Miami first,” Jackson said, referring to Baltimore’s season-opening opponent. “I don’t really worry about the Browns. We have other teams to worry about. Miami is first.”

Jackson is known for his elusiveness on the field but he showed great elusiveness by taking the high-road here. The young quarterback realizes it's a long journey to make it far in the NFL and you have to take one game at a time.

In 2018, Baltimore won the AFC North crown by having a record of 10-6. Joe Flacco struggled to begin the season with the Ravens losing hope of making the postseason. Then, in stepped Jackson who turned the team around with his running ability.

As a result, the Ravens made it into the playoffs but would fall to the Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC Wild Card game. Currently, the Ravens are the AFC North champions and will be named as such until someone knocks them off. Although, the hype surrounding the Browns is at an all-time high after their flurry of offseason moves.

This offseason, the Browns were able to acquire Odell Beckham Jr. and Olivier Vernon via trade from the New York Giants. Now, their offense boasts Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, Nick Chubb, and David Njoku all around Baker Mayfield under center.

The Ravens defense is one of the best in the NFL and they are prepared to slow down the weapons in Cleveland. After all, Baltimore was able to land Earl Thomas in free agency to help the cause.
