The Baltimore Ravens still have yet to sign Lamar Jackson to a contract extension. Although talks with the team have been ongoing throughout the offseason, no new deal has come about yet.

On both his Twitter and Instagram pages, Jackson used an image of a teeth grill with a simple message.

It's hard to imagine Jackson's decision to use that image in his social media accounts as anything other than a subtle shot at the Ravens' front office. Baltimore has yet to extend the 2019 MVP, which allows the possibility of a trade to remain alive and keeps his future with the team uncertain. He did not show up to the team's voluntary workouts but has been at the team's mandatory minicamp.

Jackson did not have a great season in 2021, though he was still able to make the Pro Bowl. His interceptions went way up, he got sacked more frequently and his touchdowns dipped. Still, he has the makings of one of the best quarterbacks in the league and has been the biggest reason why the Ravens have always been a playoff contender with him at the helm.

Baltimore said that contact talks with Jackson have been odd given the nature of Jackson representing himself. However, the franchise has not yet shown any signs of worry. There may be some concerns eventually if they cannot come to an agreement eventually.
