Jeffrey Simmons made enemies with the fans of the Baltimore Ravens after making a late-hit on Lamar Jackson but apparently that wasn't the only incident he was involved in. After Baltimore's disappointing loss, Marshal Yanda claimed that Simmons spit in his face.

“I do want to say another thing. No. 98 (Simmons) for the Titans: I had that guy spit in my face today,” Yanda said via ESPN. “I just want to put him on notice in the media. I've never done this in my career, but I just want to let you know that there's a right way and a wrong way to play football. That guy did not do it the right way today.”

Yanda has spent 13 seasons with the Ravens and is one of the most respected players in the locker room. Over his career, Yanda is known as a player that leads by example and lets his actions do the talking for him.

Given that, when the veteran guard chooses to say something in the media, it's tough to believe he'd create a narrative that isn't true. However, it is worth waiting to see if Simmons denies the allegations against him. Simmons is a rookie defensive tackle for the Tennessee Titans.

Last year, Yanda was accused of doing the same thing to Vontaze Burfict of the Cincinnati Bengals. Shortly after the accusation was made, Yanda quickly denied that he meant to spit on the Bengals' linebacker.

Following the 2018 season, Yanda contemplated retirement but chose to return to the Ravens for another season. While he will take some time to decide on his future, Simmons is set to play in the AFC Championship Game.

Considering the allegations made against him, the officials will likely pay closer attention to Simmons next week.
