Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Miles Boykin found his role as a rookie in the team's run-heavy scheme last season and performed well. Heading into his second year, he is ready to make the jump into the next tier for All-Pro quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Boykin said on Facebook Live (via the Ravens' team website):

“Obviously, last year was my rookie year and I was blessed to be part of a team that went 14-2 during the regular season, made it to the playoffs, fell a little bit short. That experience is going to be good for me in the long run. I think I'm ready to break out this year and I'm just excited to see what the year holds for us. I'm going to do whatever it takes to help this team win.”

As a rookie, Boykin totaled 13 receptions for 198 yards and three touchdowns. A third-round selection out of Notre Dame, Baltimore is foreseeing Boykin lining up on the opposite side of Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, giving Jackson a lethal one-two pass-catching punch.

Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta believes Boykin is up for the challenge, saying,

“We expect [Miles] to improve quite a bit with an offseason. He's a big, strong, fast and physical guy. Great attitude. The second year for most receivers is critical and we think he'll make a big jump.”

As if the Baltimore offense needed any more explosive weapons on top of the league's reigning MVP, the Ravens believe that they already have one in-house. After amassing the most wins in the NFL last season, Boykin looks to help Baltimore stay atop the ranks with a new infusion of honed talent.
