The Baltimore Ravens are coming off one of the most disappointing seasons in the NFL last year. They finished in last place of the AFC North at 8-9, losing their final six games. Much of the poor play had to do with injuries.

Nevertheless, Baltimore is looking to put that behind them and regain form in 2022. They had an outstanding draft, landing safety Kyle Hamilton out of Notre Dame at number 14. They then might have got the steal of the draft, taking the Iowa center Tyler Linderbaum late in the first round.

But it's what they did in the second round that has a lot of people really fired up about the Ravens future. Baltimore drafted Michigan linebacker David Ojabo.

Ojabo played high school football with their 2021 first-round pick, Odafe Oweh. Oweh recently opened up about the expectations he has for himself playing alongside his former teammate on the “Jim Rome Show”, saying they are going to “wreak havoc” on opposing defenses, an NBC writer Josh Alper noted.

“You’re getting a freak, man. He is a natural savant in pass rushing,” Oweh said. “You can see it in the way he spins, you can see it in the way he takes the edge. He’s just a bendy, twitchy dude.”

It's not hard to imagine the duo of Ojabo and Oweh becoming one of the most fearsome pass rushers in football. Oweh had a very successful rookie season. Despite only starting two games, the Ravens outside linebacker finished with five sacks, three forced fumbles and 15 quarterback hits. He is very likely to take a big step forward in year two.

Even though Ojabo will probably miss the 2022 season recovering from his torn Achilles, his future is extremely bright.
